Just wanted to let you know what kind of conversations my husband and I have. Last night we decided that we do not like the term coffee table to describe that table that sits in the living room and we argued for 20 minutes trying to come up with a better name, but we never decided on one. What do you think is a better name for that table that sits in your living room in front of the couch?

Weekend Recap

Friday night we tried a new restaurant in our town. However, the food was really disappointing. Everything was very salty and everything was cold and everything was dry. Then we rented "The Fighter" Melissa Leo was annoying as ever, I barely could look at her. Ever since she said the f word on the OSCARS I don't think I will ever like her. I find that to be very trashy on such an elegant night. If there is one time in your life when you shouldn't said the f word....the OSCARS is one of those times. HOWEVER, MARK WAHLBERG TOTALLY CAN MAKE UP FOR ANYTHING!!! I do love looking at him!!!!! Christian Bale is such a great actor...he had a really hard role to play and if you saw the real Dicky Ward in the ending credits, I think Christian did a pretty good job of portraying him.

Saturday, we went to a vendor fair for a little shopping. We then went to the home improvement store for some weed killer and a new dust mop since mine broke last week, after that we went out to lunch and the grocery store just to cover us through the weekend. When we got home I baked chocolate chip cookies and then got a phone call from a friend to go out. We went to another friends house for some margaritas and then went to a small town bar. It was packed and there were some very entertaining people there to say the least!!!!! Wow!!!! My husband got sooooo drunk that he was almost annoying. The last time he drank was Superbowl and the time before that was probably way before Christmas. So he is not that use to alcohol. We switch off being each others DD and last night I was the DD so he took full advantage of that. He is sleeping it off right now. I can't wait for him to wake up to tell him some of the things he said.

Today I am making a hot pizza dip for lunch/snack and later I will make breakfast for dinner and watch Sister Wives and RHOC. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Good Feeling

I looked out my window and I saw a dog in my backyard. (A little beagle) I went outside and she had a collar with a tag...her name was Darla and she had a phone number on it. I was able to call the number and her owner was here in less than 5 minutes. It feels good to return the dog to its owner. I am glad I found her before she made it to the highway or a mean dog or something.

Fabulous Day

I had such a Fabulous Day today and it is not even over yet. I basically shopped all day so far.

Here is what I got:

I WANTED a sonicare......but this was $24 and sonicare is something close to $195...so I don't know...if I find myself using it a lot I might one day invest in a sonicare.

*I also got a new brush
*REAL SIMPLE magazine

(I also got some vitamins, but that is not that interesting)

I went to a vintage shop and got a vintage Vera scarf.....

Anthropologie is releasing a new line of Vera inspired prints. So, I got a real Vera scarf.

Then I went to Bath and Body Works and got this free gift:



(that tote is actually very nice!!!!)

Finally, my husband met me after work and we went to Five Guys burgers and Fries.

Hot Rollers

So I think I am going to get into hot rollers for my hair.....What should I get?

It's Friday...I'm in Love

*had a very crazy-yet-very easy day at work today!!!! I felt like a rubber band, but it was good.

*went out for pizza with my husband

*after pizza we got ice cream....I ordered the Cookie Monster wizzard (which is like a blizzard at Dairy Queen, if you have one of those) it had cookie dough and oreo, but it also had a sugar eyeball sitting on top of the ice cream

*Does anyone watch Teen Mom2?-You know how Kieffer and Jenelle stole her mom's credit card for the trip to New Jersey....Did anyone notice how when Jenelle was filling up her car with gas Kieffer yelled out the window-"Fill it up with Premium!" jackass!!! (also what a gentlemen for letting his girlfriend pump the gas)

*two straight days with such wonderful weather that I could have my windows open and a nice breeze blowing in!!!

*Today I tried this not bad!!! And it was only $11 for the whole bottle

Corned Beef and Cabbage

Ok, I already know how I am preparing my corned beef, BUT can anyone give me the best way to prepare cabbage?

Light at the End of the Tunnel

I feel there is a light at the end of this tunnel called winter. We had a pretty descent day today and the forecast for the week looks great. Not quite 'open the windows' weather, but 'a lovely hooded sweatshirt walk with my dog' weather. I went to the gym and did my 30 minute circuit and had a great walk with my dog. I started this work-out regime back in august and I have gained weight. This only happens to me. I work out so hard and get so sweaty and my pants get tighter and tighter.

I have a dentist appointment tomorrow to get my cavity filled and that is my only plan for tomorrow (except for the gym). I work Wednesday 1/2 day and all day on Friday. That is basically my plan for this week.

Weekend Recap

Just wrapped up a pretty mellow weekend. We really didn't do a whole lot. I actually have been feeling slightly sick the past several days.




On Friday I got this:

and stocked up on some of my skin care from Clinique

I also dropped off some cards I made for the troops. A local scrapbooking store was doing a collection of greeting cards to send to the troops so I dropped the ones I made off and got some Starbucks.

On Saturday I felt sick so I just stayed home. I actually slept in a lot so most of the day was gone. We also did our taxes and that took awhile.

Sunday, I went to a four year old's birthday party at McDonald's. It was your typical McDonald's birthday party.

Now I am watching "Sister Wives" and soon I will watch "Real Housewives of Orange County". I am taking tomorrow off of work so that I feel better.

Kid Rock Post

Well I still haven't gotten around to downloading my pictures from the concert, but it has been a whole week. So I decided that since I don't have many followers or people who read my blog, that I would just do a pic-less post about Kid Rock.

Well, simply, we arrived early to have a quick drink before the concert and then found our seats. I have never heard of the first opener and can't remember his name...I didn't think he was that good so moving on.......

Then Jamey Johnson was the second opener. My husband and I love Jamey Johnson. We really do, but he doesn't do a very good live show. I would rather just listen to him on the radio. He is kind of just 'blah'. He sings well and his songs are good, just not much of a showman.

Then Kid Rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love me some Kid Rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope I have that much energy at forty years old.

He put on such a good show...I sang along to every thing. I would for sure buy tickets again for another show in the future.

After the concert we went to a bar with the couple we went with and had a few drinks. Since both of us had to work the next day we left after about an hour or so there.

So there is the Kid Rock update. If I ever upload my pictures I will post.

*Today my students were trying to guess my age and one of them thought I was in my teens. I asked him how many teenage teachers does he see everyday. But I kinda' enjoyed it!
*Did some vintage shopping yesterday...I got a double pie carrier-metal
*my friend and I had book club yesterday...
*might be going to brunch tomorrow morning
*I went to a scentsy party last month and I got a bunch of scents...however today I bought a wax warmer at Walmart....same size as a scentsy, but half the price...and I do like the look of it! Glad I didn't have to pay $30 for one.

Where is the time?

I have been so busy this week. I have worked everyday except today and today I worked out, grocery store, book club meeting, other shopping, dinner, clean-up, and watch "127 Hours". Tomorrow I work also. I really want to do a post about the Kid Rock concert I went to on Monday night....but I want to wait until I get my pictures loaded on the computer to do that.

So, and better post to come tomorrow!
