I'll bite?

I read everyone else's q&a's thought I would do another one myself

Getting to Know You

The questions..

1. Do you iron your sheets?
Nope!!!! I have king sized sheets....how would that even work on an ironing board...too cumbersome. I have never heard of anyone who did.

2. Your dream car is....?
I currently want a 2010 Jeep Liberty. But, the car I reaaaallllyyyy want is a SUV Lexus.

3. Do you have an innie or an outie belly button?
innie.

4. What meal do you look forward to the most..breakfast, lunch, or dinner?
Definitely Supper. Here is an interesting question....the meal you eat at the end of the day-do you call it supper or dinner? I call the third meal of the day (meal eaten in the evening) supper. I call dinner a large meal for a special or semi-special occasion-like Sunday dinner, Thanksgiving dinner, or when you have company over-so Monday-Friday evening normal meal is supper. Follow what I am saying? What do you call it~supper or dinner? Is it a regional thing?

5. Favorite mascara?
Covergirl waterproof black

6. What would you say your decorating style is..traditional, modern, eclectic, country, french country, shabby chic, etc..?
I would say slightly shabby chic and I don't know...maybe traditional a little. I would also like to add a style-minimalistic. I think less it more....I like very low clutter.

7. Have you ever been skinny dipping?
No

8. I hate the smell of...?
Broccoli burps, fish, bad breath, and B.O.

Ugh

I just got back from the dentist. I have a stupid cavitity. I take such good care of my teeth and I always have cavities.....I floss every day, brush 3 times a day, and drink with a straw at all times (this is suppose to help your teeth), I don't drink coffee, but I always have a cavity it seems like.

I am crazy

This is going to be a really boring post. So feel free to stop reading now. If you continue to read, you can't say I didn't warn you.
~and, NO, after you are done reading it you can't get these 2 mins of your life back!

Right now I am really abscessed with white sheets.

When we bought our new bedroom set last year with a king sized bed....my plan was to get 4 complete separate sets of bedding.
I mean sheets, bed skirts, shams, duvet covers, throw pillows you name it. I wanted to get a winter, fall, spring, and summer set.

Well, it is very expensive to get this, so so far I have two complete sets. I call one 'winter' and one spring or summer.

Now I am just going to focus on the sheets.
Well my 'winter' one I bought the comforter/sham/euro sham/skirt/throw pillow AND 2 sets of sheets that matched. ----green set and beige set---so that I can change fresh sheets and not change the rest.

Then I decided for the other 3 seasons I would buy 2 sets of white sheets to start with and only use white sheets for spring/summer/ and possible fall.

Well I totally feel I need white sheets all the time. Mid-December I put my winter set on and have been changing green-beige for a month. Today I broke down and decided I need my white sheets. Winter isn't even over yet, and I already changed my all my bedding to Spring because I need white sheets. My winter set only last one month when I wanted it to last 3.

I am soooo crazy!!!

So this is what I need to do-have my current set be my Spring set and get a summer and fall set that looks good with white sheets. That way I will have my white sheets for 9 months and maybe by next winter I can go 3 months with out it. (white sheets would not look good with my winter set)

I feel I am a total nut case.

I told you this is a stupid post...so you were warned!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sick

I have a very congested nose. That is all-no fever, no stomach aches, no cough, no headaches-just a stuffy nose. It is so bad that I can't sleep because I can't breath. I can't wait to be able to breath and taste food again!!!

Slow Week

I have a really slow week coming up. I hope to get a lot of things things accomplished.

My little brother is retiring from the Marine Corp on Thursday. He has been in the Corp for over 6 years. I am a little worried about this because he is not the best at making good decisions and not good at sticking with the decision. The Marines were really good for him because he didn't have a choice on certain things. Everything was really structured and organized for him and he needed that. Now that he will not be in the Marines, I hope he can get organized and focused. I really enjoyed the last two years of his services because he was injured 2 years ago and was disabled so he could not get deployed again. (I was happy that he couldn't get deployed again, not that he was injured) (He got injured in a motorcycle accident...which was ironic because he served 2 tours in Iraq and got home from his 2nd tour and got in a motorcycle accident in our home town-It was bad at the time, but now he only has a hurt ankle....he can walk and is good....just doesn't not have alot of feeling in his foot and can't bend it all the way)

Basically I hope he can get a new life plan and stick with it.....(he probably won't though)

This week I hope to get scrapbooking done and get rid of some old clothes in my closest I don't wear any more-donate them. I also hope to do some shopping just for fun.

Well, I really don't have much else to say so goodnight.

Yay!!

My husband and I went to the bank this evening. We are going to refinance our house and it will save us $149 a month and probably close to $40,000 over the life of the loan. Also our health insurance guy called and said since my husband is 29 years old...we should be able to save some money on our health insurance every month. This is really great news for us!!!! That money can so go to something more beneficial! We will find the answer to that on monday!

Not really a lot going on this weekend. I work until 11:30 am tomorrow and then Saturday we are signing papers for that refinancing thing and then we have a funeral to go to in the afternoon.

It has been a while~

I haven't had a new follower in a long time...I really need to think of something interesting to write about....Nothing new is really going on right now......

This week we are going to the bank to hopefully refinance our house so that we can get a lower interest rate. So that we can save that money. That is really the only thing on my agenda this week.

I am actually trying to plan Valentine's Day...I want to do something fun this year...so I am brainstorming ideas.

Winter

I am not sure, but I might have seasonal depression. I am not sad or feel bad, but I just never want to do anything when the weather is so cold. My husband and I don't plan nights out....I don't get up and go shopping on a whim very much. I don't visit anyone. I just want to stay home and watch TV. My house is lacking some TLC and my scrapbooking is also lacking. I just don't want to do anything. As soon as the weather gets above 60ish degrees I am crazy happy and want to do so much. Maybe this is how 'spring cleaning' was invented...because I want to conquer the world...right now-I think I will go back to watching my DVD reruns of the "Gilmore Girls" oh WINTER~

I am going antiquing today....if I get anything good I will let you know.

About my previous post.....I forgot to add how much I love my current job. I am a sub-teacher in a couple of local districts.....I love the random days off and the kids!!!! I now really don't have a 'boss'.....technically the district superintendents are my bosses, but I have never met one. I wouldn't recognize them if I ever saw one walking down the street. I get a call from the secretaries and they line up my days.

2 types of Employees

I believe there are 2 types of employees in this world: ones that can't have co-workers and ones that can't have a boss. Let me explain what I mean by this. My older brother (I really don't want to get into too lengthy of an explaination on this, but) has made lots of bad decisions in his life. Among them is his work. He always goes from job to job to job and quits, quits, quits them. (However, he still keeps getting hired, he is very charming in the beginning) But, he always quits. There was one time were he wanted my husband's boss to hire him. He called me and ask if my husband could get him hired. I said, "I don't think they are hiring at this time." He then called my husband's boss straight and he did get hired, but I told my husband that he will probably quit soon and I hate for him to look bad because he is his brother in law....well he did quit after two weeks. Anyways, he is really self centered and always thinks he is right. I believe he quits so much because he doesn't like to listen to authority because he thinks he is right...like 'how dare I get chewed out for being 2 hours late for work...I work hard when I am there' so my brother is the type of person who can't have a boss (even though he is the type of person who NEEDS one) He thinks he wants to be his own boss, but he is taking no steps to become that and never will. Well I really don't want this to be about my brother, but that is an example of what I mean.
The other type of person is like me and can't have co-workers. I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I am a really good employee. I am ALWAYS on time and never leave early. I am honest and a hard worker. Of all the jobs I have had, I have had great reviews and left in good standing. My of my old bosses is actually a really great friend of mine now. It was actually a job I had at a community college and I worked off a grant. The grant stated that I must be enrolled as a student to have that job, when I went to a four year university I had to leave. We cried that last day and I still have lunch and talk to her now. She was my boss. I never have gotten along with coworkers and I don't know why???? I have tons!!!!!! and tons!!!! of friends outside of jobs, so I know I am a 'friend'. I have never really had any bad experiences just a feeling.
Do you understand what I mean having two different types of employees?

Ok, now to the point of this post:

There was one boss that I did not get along with. We really butted heads and she actually verbally attacked me in front of a large group of people and called me names. Let me share the time she verbally attacked me: (I am going to change the names because their are kids involved ALL NAMES HAVE BEEN CHANGED).

Well I worked at a daycare. I worked with the four year olds. If you know anything about day cares there is a ratio you need to keep. Also age groups can not combine unless is it the first hour after opening or the last one hour before close. Like a four-year-old cannot go into the 2 year old classroom at 11:00 am. It is a law. We also need to always keep a count (if I am asked at anytime of the day I BETTER know exactly how many kids I have....we had a head count sheet that I had to carry) Well this one girl in my class was kinda a spoiled little girl her made up name is Kylie. She has been at this day care since she was an infant. Well most teachers came and went but the teacher in the 2 year old room worked there for a long time....lets call her Marissa. Well one morning Kylie asked me if she could go see Miss Marissa. I said No she could not do that she had to stay in our class. Later that day 11am we had gym time and I was walking my class of 20 kids into the gym. I lead the line. I counted the kids when I let my room and I had 2o kids. Down the stairs through several hallways into the gym-at the gym door I stopped and let the kids walk through the door while I counted. I only had 19 kids. My heart stopped and I started to freak out. I immediately looked for Kylie and she was not there. I called a floating teacher to come watch my class. I then went to Miss Marissa's room and it was empty and then I went to the playground and the 2's class was outside. Marissa was sitting on the picknik table with Kylie on her lap. I called, "Kylie can you come here please?" She did come and I told her that she is not allowed to sneak out of line and go in the twos room. I brought her to the gym and she was in tears because she wanted to see Miss Marissa. She laid on the bleachers and cried. I picked my battle and did not make her play. Well moments later my director (boss) came tearing into the gym. I was on the opposite side of the gym from the door so she had to walk all the way across the gym to get to me. She was pep stepping really fast, red in the face, wagging a finger at me....screaming "How dare you rip a child from Marissa....how dare you.....I gave Kylie permission to see Marissa today" and just screamed at me infront of all my students. I glanced over at Kylie and she stopped crying and was smirking at me. Unfortunately I started to tear up and sorta cry. I had to go to the bathroom to pull myself together. Wouldn't you think she would of told the head 4 year old teacher (me) that she gave Kylie permission to go into the 2's room which is against the law for a 4 to be with a class of 2's. We had bad blood since.
The only time I have ever been written up or in trouble at any job was this job. I saw all the teacher use their cell phones all the time all day long!!! I never really did, except for once. It was nap time and my kids were on their cots asleep. I used my phone to make a hair appt. and my boss walked in...saw...slammed the door (woke one kid up) and then sent another teacher up to watch my class so that I could be yelled at and sign a write up. EVERYONE USED THEIR CELL PHONES FOR PERSONAL USE/CHITCHATTING. I did do something wrong, but I am the only person to get written up for something everyone did.
Well 2 other co teachers from that job are my friends on facebook. They update their facebook page all day long via cell. And when they update their facebook during working hours....my old boss will reply to their status with a comment and lol and :).
Well, obviously they are all on their cell phones during work. This happens everyday for the entire 8 hour shifts. But, I was the one who got written up for my one cell phone useage!

What you hear while you get a manicure.

I was getting a manicure the other day and the lady who was doing my manicure told me a very interesting story.

(I am not sure I need to tell you this, but this lady was probably in her late 30's possible very early 40'sish....)

She said her father was in boot camp with Elvis Presley. While there, he got tons and tons and tons and tons of pictures of Elvis and himself or just Elvis in bootcamp. She said he had a whole box of them. Well her father has since passed away and her mother remarried so she has a stepfather. Last summer her stepfather was cleaning out the basement and he decided to throw out any box they have not looked in in the past 2 years. He did not open the boxes, just tossed all of the ones they have not touched in 2 years. You probably know where I am going with this, but yes, he threw away the box with all the pics of her father and Elvis. Can you image? Her mother was furious!!

I am a blog question thief!

I totally stole these questions from another blog I follow-feel free to steal these questions from me!

1.What did you do in 2009 that you’d never done before?
*Went to Florida
*started trying for a baby

2. Did you keep your New Year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

I did keep my 2009 resolution.....I really did think about it every singe day in 2009! You might not believe me, but it is true. My 2009 resolution was to be less of a doormat and stand up for myself....in big and little situations. I am not perfect in that yet, but I have improved and will continue to do so. The hardest person to not be a doormat from is my mom...I never stand up for myself with her. I have improved standing up to for myself with friends and totally lost a friend forever because of that, but it is a good thing....(more on this later in these questions)

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

Yes, my friend 'H' to her second baby.

4. Did anyone close to you die?

My friends 2 year old son died last Wednesday of a rare form of cancer, he has been battling that since he was 8 months old.

7. What dates from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

Baby Dax's death (mentioned earlier) and actually this New Years Eve Party was fantastic and I will remember it forever I know. Oh, I will also remember my mom deciding to move away (I still hurt on this for several reasons)

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Deciding to start trying for a baby.

9. What was your biggest failure?

No, not really, I had a cold for probably the lengthyest (I know not a word) amount of time I have ever had one.

11. What was the best thing you bought?

My husband golf pass for this coming up spring/summer/fall for his Christmas present. It made him so happy.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

100% sure my husbands!!!!!!

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

I actually will like to change this to appalled yet happy-my ex-friend 'J' as mentioned in answer #2. Her behavior was appalling which it why I cut her out of my life as a friend, but it really is a wonderful, much needed, and long overdue relief!

14. Where did most of your money go?

My dog's surgery and Florida, New York, and New Jersey

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?

A handful of small things-parties and time with friends. I was really excited for my cookie exchange party.

16. What song will always remind you of 2009?

I am not sure. I have tons of songs I love, but I can never pin point a year. (Like I don't remember what song I liked in 2001?) My favorite songs right now are by the Zac Brown Band-"Chicken Fried" "Whatever it is" and "A Different Kind of Fine"

34. Who did you miss?

No one

35. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2009.

Surround yourself with people who build you up, not cut you down. It is 100% ok to cut people from your life. Actually my little brother gave me some really good advice last spring. This is want he said, "Just think of 'J' as a balloon you are holding the string of with one hand, then imagine your other hand holding a pair of scissors. Now think of yourself cutting that string and the balloon just floating away." (very wise for being my little brother (( he was 24 at the time...25 now)) I liked this advice because I know I needed to cut "J" out of my life, but I realized I just needed to stop....no further conversation, explanation, letter, revenge needed to happen. I just needed to stop. No anwering phone calls, no replies to email, just be done!!! I thought I need to explain my side and get my point accross, but I didn't. She did a very bad thing to me and I just needed to stop. Many, many, many years of her breaking me down, using me, and lowering my self esteem.

What did you learn in 2009?

Pick a question and answer it in my comments section!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend
