Catch Up

Ok, so what's new? Let's see, let's see.....

I went to look at new (used cars) today.  I need another monthly payment like I need a hole in my head.  But, this baby is coming and my two door car is going to be a pain in the butt.  We bought my husband a work vehicle a year and a half ago and the plan was to pay that off and then it was my turn to get a new car.  As you already know I didn't think I would get pregnant so I wasn't too worried.  Well, I did and we are going to be stretching ourselves really thin with two car payments.  I don't know what to do because my car is pretty small.  I don't know?????

I am 29 1/2 weeks along.  I really don't feel much movement.  I had a dr appointment Thursday and when I told her that she wanted me monitored...so I went across the hall and was monitored.  She said everything is looking normal.  I have no cramping, bleeding, or swelling so I shouldn't be worrying.  But, I only feel him move a couple times a day.  "Textbook" says I should be feeling him 10-12 times an hour....I'm not even close.  I guess he just wants to totally worry me. 

My 1st baby shower is 8 days away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I can't wait!!!!!

Kohl's had a great clearance sale this week...I picked the wee one up a few clothing items. 

I got my shot for being RH negative last week and I picked a pediatrician.  So that is about everything new for now.

Splurge

I got a little baby splurge today. I know I don't NEED this, but I just WANTED it.....

I got a Mose's basket. I just think they are so cute. I have been pretty reasonable with shopping for baby. I really haven't bought any gimmicks I think bottle sterilizers are a waste and wipe warmers are unnecessary. I know how to sterilize bottles for free and wipe warmers just dry out your wipes. A couple warm breaths on a wipe is good enough. So I allowed myself one splurge. He will be getting some newborn pics done in here also. I will also use it for future children. A sweet place to take naps in the living room while I watch quiet tv. I can just imagine him swaddled in there.

Everything is good on the baby front I had to go to the hospital two days in a row...I will tell you why when I get on my laptop since I can type faster on there.

Hospital Bag

My dr said anytime after 24 weeks to go ahead and pack a hospital bag.  Since I am 27 1/2 I took her advice but I am running into 2 issues:
1.  A few things I want to bring I registered for so I want to wait for my shower so I don't double buy.
2.  Some of the clothes I want to take...I still want to wear for at least a little bit


I really haven't started the babies bag because I do have a 'coming home' outfit that needs to be washed and that is the only cute newborn outfit I have.  I haven't been buying newborn size because I don't think I will need that many and I don't know what I will get at the shower.  I think for the 'newborn size' I will just need onesies and blankets.  I also think I will have a big baby (just a feeling)  so just in case I get a few newborn size outfits at the shower...I want to wait until then to find out.

So I packed as far as I can today.  I plan on doing a hospital bag video but I need to be a little further along. 

I am not too worried because so far I really haven't had any problems: no cramping, no bleeding, things along those lines.

I really don't feel the baby move much, I wish I did.  I feel a movement or two a day at the most.  I did speak with my doctor about this and she said not to worry about it.  She said if I felt a lot of movement and then it slowed...she would be worried, but since it has always been the same not to worry..but I do.  I also lost a little weight between my July and August appointment but I got a sonogram last Thursday and they said my baby was a week ahead so that is weird?

Thanksgiving will be his first holiday I hope. If it is Halloween, that means he is early which I don't want.

I had a newborn class at the hospital tonight. I really didn't learn anything I didn't already know, but I am glad I went. We had pregnancy pics last night and they went great! I will get them in two weeks.

Wedding

My cousin got married this weekend. It was a pretty smooth low key wedding. Here are some pics....

She also surprised me at the wedding. During her speech she thanked me for helping her and she gave me a gift of a fully packed diaper bag. It was also custom made with Peter rabbit fabric.







You may not see everything but it had diapers, wipes, pacis, nail clippers, baby shampoo lotion powder, bottle, book, etc. I was so surprised.

27 weeks starts tomorrow

Well 27 weeks starts tomorrow.  This pregnancy is going so fast.  I love being pregnant!  I will be sad when it is over, but happy that I will have a baby.   Not much has changed....I actually lost 5lbs from my July appointment.  My dr is not worried about that so I am not either.  I believe this is happening because I am way more conscience about what I eat, I still exercise, and I get full really quickly so I have left more food on my plate than I probably have ever done in my life.  At my sonogram last Thursday, my baby is measuring a week ahead and his heartbeat is 141 which is good.  I also had a regular dr appointment on Friday and the heartbeat was 141 also.  I actually do not feel much movement at all and this scares me so much.  Other people who are as far as I am say they feel so much all the time.  I feel him like once a day.  This does worry me, but last Thursday I had a sono where I saw him move and heard his heartbeat and last Friday I heard his heartbeat on the Doppler thing.  I really wish he would move more throughout the day to let me know he is still in there. 

My baby shower is 28 days away and I am so excited.  I am really trying not to buy anything until at least the first shower is done because I don't want to have a lot of one thing.  For example, I went to my husband's cousin's baby shower and she got a ton of full size J&J baby shampoo.  She probably got 15 or more.   She may never need to buy baby shampoo ever again!   I don't want something like that to happen to me and already have some at home that I bought myself. 

We are getting pregnancy pics done on Wednesday...again I will be 27 weeks along.  I do feel like I am rushing these, but some of the cloths I want to wear....I may grow out of if I wait much longer.  How far along are other women when they get their pregnancy pics done?  Not sure.
