Here we are Sunday night again. Here is my weekend wrap-up:
Thursday (Thanksgiving)- We went to my brothers and a good time was had by all. Thursday night the hubby and I stayed around the house and just relaxed. My mom flew in this evening, but she stayed at my brothers house so I did not see her this day.
Friday-My mom attended an informal wedding reception (the reason she came into town) at noon. I didn't do a whole lot, the one thing I DID do was NOT attend black Friday sales hahaha. I was in my nice warm bed until 10am thank you very much! At 2:30 I met my mom at the nursing home my great aunt was in, she is not doing so well. We looked through a genelogy scrapbook I made earlier this Fall
Mom on left, grandma in middle, and great aunt on right.
Then we came home, picked up my husband and went out for dinner. After dinner, we dropped my husband off back at home (he worked that day and was going to work the next so he was tired) and mom and I went to see "Jack and Jill" It was way better than what I was expecting!!!!! So funny!!!! After that we went late night grocery shopping because my mom was cooking us a meal the next night.
Saturday, was suppose to be dinner prep, shopping, and then meeting my aunt's and grandma at her house, then home to eat dinner, and attend our town's annual 'Festival of Lights' Parade....however Saturday it rained cats and dogs all day long so we did not go to the parade. However we did no dinner prep and then put my Christmas Tree up. We also went shopping and I got a new pair of pjs and a new Christmas Tree skirt. We then went to my grandma's and chit chatted and then home to eat. My husband came home from work at this time and my brother came over too. After dinner, since we did not go to the parade, we watched "A Very Brady Christmas" and laughed and laughed and made fun of everything. It actually was a ball.
Sunday-Today my husband and I tackled our to-do lists and I watched Sister Wives (balled like a baby) and Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Now lets go back to where I was talking about the geneology scrapbook I made. I am going to do a post later with pics from it, but there is one pic in particular that I just have to show now because it is just so funny.
First some background, my great-great grandfather on my mom's side owned and operated a brewery in our town. So the pic I am about to show you is my great great grandfather and his sons at said brewery. The reason I have to post it is because everyone in the pics is obviously completey trashed!!! Drunk Drunk Drunk!!! Here goes: (Please notice the bag on one of their heads)

Well, another Thanksgiving done. All those weeks of planning done in no time at all. My family usually just eats and leaves. They stay around to talk for just a few minutes and then they are out the door. I really wish we had family who would play games or have a few more drinks before they are done. So the point of me telling you this is that we get home pretty early. Here are a few pics I took before anyone got there. This is in my brother's basement, that is why it looks like a basement:
My mom is now in town so starting tomorrow, I will have a whirlwind few days. I was really hoping to relax on this extended weekend, but she will certainly have a jammed pack schedule, so if you don't hear from me in a few days, don't be too surprised. I may blog if I have time.
I will probably put my tree up this weekend. I always wait until Dec 1st, but my mom wants me to put it up this weekend. That is a little too early for me.
How was your Thanksgiving?

Wow, Thanksgiving is so soon. I really can't believe it! So much to do.
*bake 3 pies and make deviled eggs (need to do this tomorrow..for Thxgiving)
*start preparing for my annual cookie exchange party. (haven't even started...should start with picking a date) need to start this this weekend for sure
*wrap my Christmas presents especially the ones to my husband so he doesn't see them.
*I need to clean my house....I have really half a*^ed it lately, that is for sure!
*get Christmas cards addressed ( I have them made so that is a plus) I want to drop them in the mailbox Dec. 1st
Randoms
*My mom is coming into town this weekend. This really is a very stressful time for me. Just trying to please her. She tries to fit too many things into too short of time.
*I got the Michael Buble Christmas CD yesterday!
*I am crazy excited for the Bears/Packers game on Christmas Day...however...we are having my Brother-in-Law house sit and it does make me nervous....I don't trust him fully and it is hard to tell my husband I don't trust his brother....I just don't want him to snoop....I really don't have anything to hide.....just don't want him to snoop because I am a very private person (well besides this very public blog and all hehehe)
There really is more odds and ends things, but nothing exciting enough to write here tonight.

Crappy Friday Night
I was really looking forward to a relaxing Friday night. We were going to order a pizza and a movie. Well, that didn't happen. I have been sick with a cold for a whole week. I am now better, but when I recover from a cold I always buy a new toothbrush and wash my sheets right away. Well, it has also been getting colder so I decided to change out my Fall quilt for my winter feather down comfortable. So I decided to wash my king sized Fall quilt. Now I always go to the laundry Mat four times a year to use their big washer for my king sized quilts. But , smart me, decided to give it a whirl in my washer. Really really bad idea. It shook my washer so hard and at the end...did not spin all the water out. It was sopping wet. I could not even lift it out of the washer. We could not put it in the dryer or have a place to hang it. Water was just running off of it. We found a rubbermaid tub and went up to the laundry mat to dry it. Totally sucks. It also looks a little faded I think. It is brand new this Fall. It might just be my imagination. Never put a king sized quilt in your washer.
The good thing is I didn't break anything.

I should be on pinterest
I just found something on pinterest that I came up with 2 years ago and have had in place in my home since then. It was an idea I came up with all by myself and I am surprised someone else had the same idea.

So I got a package in the mail today from photojojo.com. I bought my friend a Christmas present and if I spent $50 I would get free shipping so I bought my self something too. So basically I was expecting two items.

- Posted using BlogPress from my iPad

So I opened the package and got the invoice and reviewed it. There were 3 items listed. The white canon mug, the black canon mug, and something that said 'rawrrrrrrrrrrr'. I had no idea what rawrrrrrrrrrrr meant and I only ordered two things????

So I got my two items out that I bought and checked them over.

They are mugs that look like camera lens if you are curious.

And then left in the box was this.........hahaha ababa photojojo threw in a plastic dinosaur to be funny.

And it was funny.

BBrrrrrrrr! Is everyone staying warm? I hope so, and to think we might be up to 68 degrees by the middle of next week.
Anywho, days are just going so fast and I can't even keep up. Here is what is going on in my neck of the woods:
Just finished being a Nielsen family, need to mail the booklet tomorrow. The funny thing about it though is the fact that I am a major TV watcher, but I was a Nielsen family the one week in my whole life where I hardly watched any TV.
I am in charge of bringing pies to our family Thanksgiving. What should I make? We are not much into pumpkin pie, so I am going to be creative.
I actually have my Christmas shopping list all organized and written out. I now just need to find a day to go shopping. I am going to take one day and wipe the whole list clean! I will. I actually had planned on Tuesday the 15th being the day, but I just got called in to work earlier today for the 15th. So the 16th is going to be my one day Christmas shopping day. I do want it all done by Thanksgiving. I will however, keep Christmas in December only (except for the shopping) but starting Dec 1st it is game on. Until then-no decorations, no music, no movies, nothing Christmas related until then!
Tomorrow I completely plan to stay in my p.j. all day. I do not want to leave the house at all. Is it weird that I look forward to a day where I do not have to do my make-up?
My husband is in complete deer hunting mode. I hunted this morning and tomorrow morning, but he is also putting in 8hrs at work. So with hunting and work, he is getting home really late. I have barely seen him.

Wow this week really just flew by. I can't believe it is Saturday already!
Well Monday was the birthday: opened gifts, dinner, handed out candy.
Wednesday my friend took me out to lunch for my birthday, we really had a blast talking and eating!
I worked Thursday and Friday so that made those days go fast.
Any extra time I had this week, I watched old episodes of "The Brady Bunch". That show is so cheesy that I love it. Anyone remember the episode where they are building the house of cards and Marcia is wearing a charm bracelet. She kept almost knocking things over with it? Why didn't she just take it off, stupid (but cheesy hilarious) writing. Love it!
I also did a little scrapbooking.
This morning I went out to brunch with my brothers and dad. We also looked around Bass Pro Shop for a few minutes.
