Brain Dump

Nothing really big is going on so I decided to do a brain dump:

I just got commissioned to do my first scrapbook...I am going to get paid to do a scrapbook!!!  I can't believe it!!!

I am also in the process of planning my cousins wedding.  I have goals set up for every month.  Next Monday I am going to my best friends store to pick out centerpieces for my cousin (I have a great friend who is in the wedding business.  That is how I got chair covers and table runners free for my wedding.) and yes I do have free range and am planning 98% of this wedding.

I am currently making Peanut Butter cake (I am waiting for it to cool before I frost it) and it smells so good.  It is just a recipe I googled from "Taste of Homes" if you are curious and the title of the recipe is double peanut butter cake.

I just bought this book today:

and I can't wait to start it.  I was going to download it from my ipad, but I found a better deal at a local bookstore so I decided to buy it in actual book form.  I like it better than ereaders...I really do.

I have to finish this book first:

and I am like 30ish pages from being done.  I hope to finish it tonight so I can start my new one.

BTW-I wonder who is the person responsible for doing cover art.  Because sometimes they really suck at it.  (Is it just me that thinks this?) For example-the book above is about an autistic boy who may or may not of committed murder.  But the story opens with the boy being 18 and he is 18 through the entire story.  SOOOOOO, why is there a young boy playing in the sand by a lake?????  Also the story is set in Vermont in the winter time.  So why young-boy-in-shorts by a lake (a lake is not really mentioned in the book....there is a really small non-important part about his brother walking by a lake that is frozen over and people are ice skating on it...but it really has nothing to do with the story)

So, wtf????  This is the worst book jacket.  Any picture of any model about 18 would of worked way better than this or if the author wants you to imagine what Jacob looks like anything else that is related to the story is better than this.....

anyways-I just hate stupid books jackets.  I could do a way better job!!!!!!

-end rant-

I have really wanted a day at home during this vacation, but I have had a errand come up every singe day!  I have one tomorrow too....boo hoo!

Well, excited for a relaxing weekend, I hope!

Nasty

Not sure if you guys remember, but every January for the past 4 years I have been in a bridal show where I model wedding dresses.  Well today I had my fitting for the show and I am modeling 5 wedding dresses and for the first time ever 1 bridesmaid's dress.  It is so fun.  At my fitting today as I was getting fitted for the dresses sweat was just pouring down my legs.  I felt as if I was peeing my pants.  hahaha

I have such a busy weekend coming up!! I can't even believe it!!!

Friday Night-Christmas at me mother-in-laws

Saturday- packing, movie with my brother, and then at 6pm annual Christmas Eve party at my Aunt's House.

Sunday and Monday-Traveling for the Bears/Packers Game.

And-My mom might come in Monday or Tuesday.  (I hope I am home in time)

Tonight we have a few errands to run and then we are grabbing a quick dinner out.  Thank goodness for Christmas Break!!!!!!!!!!!!

Crazy!!!

Good news, the kennel that was booked for Christmas just called and they had a cancelation. My dog got in! I was nervous about having my brother in law do it. He doesn't make the best choices in life.

Just a Brain Dump

Well, here is what is on my mind right now:

If I am involved in this conversation one more time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:

Someone else: "My kids was crying (screaming, complaining, into everything, spill something, basically anything a kid does)....Do you have any kids?

Me: "No"

Someone else: "Oh, you are so lucky"

Me: internally-crying

Seriously when this happens (which is does all the time) and the person says "You are so lucky"  I can't answer them with words of any kind...I just have to put my lips together and shake my head, because if I try to say anything, I would really cry in front of them.

I also hate when someone knows I slept in a little on a weekend and they make a comment about "I wish, my son got me up at 6am"

Well that is a dream come true for a child to wake me up.

I was going to get a manicure today, but I really just don't want to leave the house.  I just don't want to drive anywhere.

I am excited about Christmas Day and the Bears/Packers game.  But I am really nervous about leaving my dog home.  My brother-in-law is suppose to watch him.  I don't really trust him.  But the few kennels we have around here are booked and I also don't trust the at home dog sitters, they creep me out.  My brother in law creeps me out a little too and I don't find him to trustworthy.  But, he really is my only hope.  I really wish my kennel wasn't fully booked!!!!  I want to enjoy the game with out worrying.

Lately there has been so many deer come through my garage (meaning my husband and his hunting buddies have gotten a lot and they needed to hang them) so my house has been full of hunters.  (this story has a point...stay with me)  Well I hang out out there and talk to them as they process and my husband made this comment "I have never seen so much fat on deers before" His friend "they say animals are storing up because we are suppose to have a harsh winter"  CRAP!!!!!

Someone please put me at ease about my dog and home being taken care of while I am gone.  I worry.

I shut off my phone about an hour ago.  I really just want quiet for a little bit.  I should probably turn it back on in about another half hour or so.

I made myself the most glorious salad for lunch today.  I am going to eat it as soon as I am done typing this, but my favorite salad dressing is out so I will have to settle for 2nd because I am not going to the store today.

I do wish I had a smoothie.

All my TV shows are on break except for Real Housewives.  I am also looking forward to Teen Mom 2 tonight.  That show does confuse me though.  How does Maci and Amber live in the lap of luxury but Kaitlyn and Janelle (who I hate) are completely broke.  It is like half of them are broke and half have plenty of extra money???

Convo With Hubs

Here is a conversation between my husband and I last night-Also, I finally found one thing Pinterest doesn't have:

(Also, my husband knows I have been on Pinterest and has heard me talk about it to others, he just never 'really' asked about what it is until last night)(Also ((don't forget I am throwing a cookie exchange party tonight)) this started because I used Pinterest to organize my party and I was prepping last night and I was telling him all the things I found on Pinterest)

Hubby-"where did you find all these recipes and ideas?"
Me-"Pinterest"
Hubby-"what is pinterest again exactly?"
Me-"It is basically this online 'file' that you can't store and organize things you find online and you can share with others.  You can find anything on Pinterest: recipes, crafts, outfits, hair styles, tips, tricks, pet stuff, funny sayings, photography, scrapbooking, art, jewelry, absolutely anything you can find on Pinterest, I'm serious"
Hubby-"Can Pinterest help me pick this weeks fantasy football line-up?"
Me-"Touche...hunny...touche"

One of Those Days

It really has been one of those days.  Nothing bad happened, but nothing went easy either.  First off, it has been raining since 5pm last night.  Which is actually sorta ok, because if that was snow it would be like 3 ft or more and I have a cookie exchange party here tomorrow.  But, I LOVE rain when I am able to stay home and watch movies.  Alas, today I HAD to run errands so I HAD to be out of my house in and out of the rain all day.

Then I had to pick up my husband's paycheck and take it to the bank.  Well I couldn't do ANY of my errands until that check was picked up and put in bank since my errands consisted of paying two bills and going to 2 stores and I needed the money since I had to pay several hundred dollars of bill and purchases.  Well, hubby's boss was in meeting all day and could not get the check to us until 2pm so from the time I got up until 2pm I just had to sit and waste time knowing I had thousands of things to do in the afternoon.

So picked up check and went to bank, where I wanted the check cashed out and deposited so that the funds were available immendiantly and not sit in the bank over night to clear the next day (which would not of happened since if was after 2 and my bank closes same day transactions at 2....so after 2 it is considered the next day so my funds would not be available until Friday)  so I went to one branch and asked for the check to be cashed out and deposited, but she would not do that for me.  So I had to drive to another branch and they did it for me.  (so my point of it being one of those days....it got done, but not easily).  But of course my errands after bank were all located near the first branch location...so after I drove all the way to another branch and back, well basically that sucked.

Then I went to Walmart which I hate and the only reason I went there was because I had to get some photos developed (I would of went to a grocery store if wasn't for the pics) Walmart never has what I need...for example I needed raspberry sherbert to make a punch for my party tomorrow and of course Walmart didn't have any raspberry sherbert.  Then I needed to get photos developed and didn't want to wait the hour so I went to the instant station.  They were out of paper and the employee could not get the paper installed due to too many customers at the counter...so I checked back later and still not done...I then went to the other side of the store for groceries and had to come back later and still wait, so I did have to wait an hour anyways plus had to walk the length of the store several times.

Then I started to shake and feel faint with means my iron is low....so I had to eat some meat ASAP.  Walmart has a McDonald's in it so I got a burger which I really didn't even want.

Then I wanted to pick up presents for my in laws and I got something for my sis-in-law and mother-in-law, but the things I wanted for my 3 brother-in-laws Walmart was out of (of course).

Then as a was unloading my trunk the skies opened and it just poured!!!!!!!!!!!

Well now I need to start making my cookies for tomorrow and other prep work.....tomorrow I will clean all day for it!

Cookie Exchange Party

The husband and I got tons of errands done today.

Also I am having a cookie exchange party on Thursday.  I think I am going to make pineapple cookies.  I also think my menu is just going to be chicken salad in little phillo dough cups, veggie tray, cheese and crackers, m&m's and peanuts.  I will also make a punch.  I can't wait and I have so much to do for it!  I work Monday and Tuesday so I plan to get a lot of work done tomorrow for it!

Some Things Do Change

Well, yesterday in the late afternoon and evening I had a splitting headache.  I very rarely get headaches, and never bad ones.  The only other time in my life I had a 'bad' headache was a year ago November.  To make a long story short this was caused by an infected tooth and I had my first root canal.  Back to the headache last night, the few times in my life I get headaches if I go to bed they are always gone in the morning.  So, last night I went to bed early to get rid of the headache.  I slept horribly and even got up the middle of the night with such a bad head ache that I came downstairs to get tylenol.  In the morning it was not gone.  The headache was on the right side of the head and it hurt in my gum line...so I decided to call the dentist instead of the doctor.  They got me in this morning at 10:15, he looked at my teeth and said my back wisdom tooth was infected and needed to come out.  So I had no plans today when I woke this morning and now I have one less tooth in my mouth. It sucked.  It hurt.  I have never had a tooth pulled before.  As I was driving home I started thinking that I was old.  I can't believe I am old enough to have so many teeth problems.  Root canal last year and pulled tooth this year.  I really just felt old.  I guess with not being able to have children, therefore, not being a mom I still felt kind of young.  All my friends have children and they seem so grown up to me and lots of them are younger than me but seem older.  I still sleep in till 10 on the weekends (and sometimes during the week).  But, today I felt old.  Just to make myself feel better, I thought of some funny things that have changed since I was younger and most of them involve food.

*I use to hate onions and now I love them!
*I use to hate tomatos and now they are my favorite food
*I would rather stay home than anything else, tell my younger self this and she would laugh.  I use to never be home.  That is probably why I have lost friends over the years.....because I use to always be over at their house and now that I want to be in my own house they don't want to come over because they want to be at their own house (confusing writing, I know)
*I am a football fan and never use to be one.
*Don't tell my husband this because he might stop helping me, but sometimes I like to clean.  I like to put my sweats on, turn the music up, and have a clean house when I am done.
*I stand up for things I think and want and I am LESS of a doormat.  (just less, I am not all the way cured)

What are someways you are different now that you are older?

Sad Day

My great-uncle died today...it was unexpected.  I am not sure what happened.  He just breathed his last breath this morning.  That is all we know.  He was at home.
