What I did for myself-

The weather has been unseasonably warm lately.  So Monday afternoon, I took my ipad outside, sat on my patio with my feet up, left my phone inside, and just enjoyed the fresh air and watched my dog play in the backyard.  It was glorious!

BMX

I had a pretty cool day today.  I meet someone kind of famous.  (well not really just sort of famous) His name is Matt Wilhelm.  You probably never have heard of him but he was on last season of "America's Got Talent" and he was a semi finalist.  He also won the $25,000 challenge on the show.  He also has 3 x-game medals, 2 time national champion, and one time world champion.  He does bmx bike tricks.  He was very nice and very funny.  Also seeing the tricks when he was 5 feet from me was a little scary because he was so fast.  This is a picture of him.  Google him if you want to see more. 

I also had to (seriously had to) watch 8 episodes of "Garfield" today.  Remember that old cartoon from the 80's?  I have not seen it since the 80's and I was about 6 or 7, but I actually remembered some of the episodes.  Isn't weird that I remember them from so long ago?  There were a few clever jokes in the cartoons.

I am absolutly exhausted tonight!  I can barely keep my eyes open.    

I really don't know if this is worth it?

I tried to do a link-up on Tuesday.  I think I had a really good idea, but I only had one link-up. 

I actually personally invited about 30 fellow bloggers and tweeter to link-up and only one person did.

I am talking personal direct invites and no reply.  Emily Post is rolling over in her grave.  I don't think I will ever have it in me to ignore a personal invite (no matter whether it is with a yes or a no).

I really thought my link-up was fun and originally. 

It blogging really even worth all this time and effort I put into it?

I really want to have conversations with women about my own age.  If I ask a question, I want people to respond.  The major of my friends in real life are mothers or men.  I love them and we are friends, but I can't always relate. 

That is the reason I started blogging.  My husband works a lot.  The only being that will listen to me has four legs and barks. 

I don't know.

I guess in other news:

I had a really good day today.  Nice and relaxing.  I got a lot of reading done. 

This weekend I really need to get that scrapbook done (the one I was commissioned to do) I am not late, I told her I would have it done sometime in February.  I just want to be done with it so I can clean up my scrapbook room.  (when I do a page at a time for my personal books, I keep my area very clean....but when I have to do a whole book from start to finish, the place gets quite messy.)

This January has been so weird.  It was sorta warm out today.  This is just weird for January in the mid-west.

Yay! Link Up Day! "You Deserve It" Ok Here is what I did for myself. On Sunday night, I washed my sheets, took a long bath with lavender candles and bubbles with the jets on, put on a fresh pair of my warmest pjs, and spritzed lavender pillow mist on my sheets. I also aloud myself to sleep in as late as I could Monday morning. I try to do this every Sunday. (I wash my sheets more than once a week and wear clean pjs...I am talking about the trifecta...clean sheets/bath/fresh pjs) It was glorious!!!!! I believe that every women should do something special for themselves everyday no matter how little.  I do! Do you?

So, what you need to do is think of something special to do for yourself and then link up to tell us what you did.  Who knows, if we like it we may do it for ourselves the next week?

Here are a few examples:
buy a gift for yourself
go to lunch
bubble bath
manicure/pedicure
sleep in (if you can)
watch a movie that you picked out with no one else's opinion
make a special dessert

etc

So for the first week I will talk about this Sunday and Monday and then the link-up will be Tuesday.  In the future, I will announce it on Monday and the link-up will be Tuesday.  This will be fun if a lot of us share.  Come on-You Deserve It!

Real Housewives of Atlanta-Nene is a b*&ch, Kim is so lucky...she has been a meany in the past, but I really truly believe she is trying to change, I do see her strides.  She needs to be careful with her oldest daughter...she is starting to become a snot...I know she is a teenager, but I am just saying Kim needs to install some boundaries and discipline.   Phadra is hilarious. Cynthia's marriage has been a train wreck since the engagement.  How in the world is Sheree making money?  Is the income just from the show?  Kandee's cool!  What is going to happen on the Africa trip?  I hope to never go to Africa.  I did think it was quite uncomfortable and uncalled for for Kandee's mom to try to get Nene and Kim to talk...I think it is ok for that friendship to be done.  Nene will just bring Kim down...stay away Kim, stay away.

Monday-
                  2 and 1/2 men-Thank goodness Ashton shaved and trimmed...so much better. Alan is starting to be really weird and gross.  They need to watch this.  The self loathing is getting bad and over done. 
2 Broke Girls-love! Stifflers mom was very funny in this weeks episode. 
Mike and Molly-I love the in law drama because I can relate.  I love how Molly tries to work with her mother-in-law with no help in return.....been there!

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills-Kim pregnant? Welcome to menopause.

                   Favorite quote delivered by Brandee, "She slept with my husband, I have never met her in real life, but I did see an interview on TV with her crying that her boyfriend (my husband) cheated on her with Leann Rimes"  Major props to Lisa for sending her home so that Brandee can be more relaxed...that is great!

Tuesday-Parenthood-you are great!  Haddie needs to get her own college loans...I did and I am fine and they are paid off.  I love Julia...I hope nothing falls through with the baby.   The lamaze teacher was creepy.  Amber is weird...why does her boss have a crush on her?????

Teen Mom2- Why is Jo shocked and appalled that he has to pay child support?  (Did anyone see his new video...it starts off with him and another guy in a corner store buying juice and pringles and ends with him in a cheap hotel with some girl) google it.  It is funny.

What job does Corey have now that he wants to change to become a coal miner?  He is so dumb yet so cute.  (I understand they are divorced and Leah is engaged and pregnant by someone else now, but I am working off this weeks episode)  I am not sure is Leah has ever met Corey??? She acts like he is a totally different person then who she married, lives with, and has babies by.  Leah meet Corey he is your husband and father of your babies.  She calls him and he says "I am at work and can't talk now" and she gets pissed "Leah he is at work and can't talk now...cut him some slack".  Chelsea is a moron Adam will never change! Quite wasting your youth.  Jenelle=trainwreck.  "It has been a few hours since I smoked weed! I am so stressed! Leave me alone!"

Thursday-Office-I loved the Dwight Dog, but I hate Robert California...he is ruining the show.  Jim is perfect.  Kelly from the show, whose name is mindy in real life,...I am currently reading her book "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?" Is a writer, director, actor, and Executive Producer on the show.  Well yesterday afternoon I read the chapter on Irish exits, so I know she wrote the story line of Jim trying to leave the party.

Bridal show

Just finished this years bridal show (for those that don't know, I model wedding dresses every year)

My feet hurt from walking in those heels!

Here is my hair....now remember I had about 6 veils pulled in and out of my hair and about 5 tiaras. This is messy. But, I didn't really like my hair in the first place.





I got a tiara stuck so a lot of my hair got messed up do to that.

Also, I didn't trip on the runway so that is a success in my book!

Handwriting is Important

I have notoriously bad handwriting.  It is actually embrassing.  If I try to write semi-normal it takes forever. Yesterday before my husband left for work I handed him a grocery shopping list so he could go to the store after work.  It was a pretty lengthy list, but one of the items was suppose to be "Cream of Tarter".  When he got home he said, "I looked forever for cream of tomato and I didn't find any, I didn't even know they made cream of tomato."  I said, "why were you looking for cream of tomato?" He said, "Because you wrote it down." I said, "No I didn't"

So appartently, my "cream of tarter" looks like "cream of tomato"

So now I have a can of tomato soup I don't need (he bought the closest thing he could think of) and no cream of tarter.



Now for a little vent-
It is so annoying when I look at someone's blog and all they do it copy a ton of pinterest items to their blog.  It is such a waste of my blog time.  If we wanted to see pinterest pics we would go to pinterest....we are all on it (well lots of people) and we have already seen these pics on pinterest.  Please don't just copy pinterest pics to your blog.  It is not even worth us loading your blog.

However, if you make something from pinterest...that is cool.....show one pic of the original and one pic of what you recreated.  That is fine...but a ton of reposted original pins...boring.  We have already seen it on pinterest.

2nd Scrapbook

Bright Sunshiney Day

Weather is weird! Bright sunny warm IN Janurary...IN the midwest???  What??????????

Oh well, I am in such a good mood about this! 

I think I will go for a walk as soon as I am done with this post!!!!!!!!!!!

I have no plans for this weekend.  I might go antiquing...actually I probably will go antiquing. 

Tonight we will probably rent a movie and stay home.  I am so excited about that.  I really don't have a single plan for this weekend.  My husband might hunt in the morning or he will work.

Clarisonic review

Here is my opinion only:

I own a clarisonic....now I have the 'PRO' model....(it is not this pic....but it is the first image I found that was pink and mine is pink, but just the PRO model)

Now I spent $225 dollars on this.

What I would like to talk about is the battery life and how much it sucks.

ALSO, I understand how I do not use this as directed, but still.

Ok, if you don't know much about the clarisonic pro...it has a built in timer that is set to one-minute.  The instructions do say...use once a day for one minute...here is where I do not use as directed, but still.

Ok.....it only has a 20-30 minute battery power based on what speed you run it at (mine has 4 speed settings)

This sucks-

because I like to run it at the highest speed and use it twice a day because it feels so good.  Also, one minute of pleasure is not enough so I run it for two minutes...when it shuts off I push the button again to start it again.

So 30 of battery time~

use full speed knocks it down to 20mins

for one minute a day should be 20 days of use

but twice a day would be 10 days of use

twice a day for 2 mins is 5 days of use....

I feel like it runs out of battery power ALL THE TIME.

I want to use it twice a day for 2 mins...but I always have to charge it...so frustrating.

This morning in the shower I put my cleanser on it and pressed the button-dead battery-waste of cleanser.

I really wish it had a better battery life.

Ridiculous

Dream

I had a dream last night that I was in prison.  I have never dreamt that before.  What does it mean?

Also, I dreamt that in prison they would not let me take a walk outside.  I begged them.  No yard time.

It is just weird because it is the first time ever I have dreamt this.

Bling, Bling My Ring

I have wanted a pear shaped diamond since forever....I really got my dream ring....if I had a billion dollars, I would still pick this ring as my engagement ring for sure!

I love everything about it: the pear shaped diamond, the diamonds down the band, and the diamonds around the center stone and most importantly-the person who gave it to me!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes I do have two wedding bands..I guess you could call the other an anniversary band. 

I love it!

Bad phone call-

My best friend just called and told me she is moving to Mississippi :(

I really don't want her to move so very far away!

This really sucks.

There is really nothing else I can say publicly on this, so in other news:

I have a really busy end of the week.  It will definitely make this week go so fast.  Right now I am watching a movie called "A Little Help".  It is not very good...but good enough for this afternoon.

I really should be working on the scrapbook I was hired to do. I also need to sweep and vacuum the floor.  Wow that is boring.

I really don't have much else to say, just relaxing right now!
