Update
If you read my last post..transitioning him from the bassinet to a crib was 100% successful.
Not much new is going on....throwing a baby shower for my brother on Sunday..so we are getting ready for that.
Beau moved into size 2 diapers....and is very close to moving out of 0-3 mon clothes.
He is growing so much. He is definintly not a newborn anymore...he is really getting use to our routine. He loves to go on car rides and errands...he behaves so well! His personality is really shining through.

Mom's Groups
So I have been checking out mom's groups. It may be early since my baby can't "play" with other kids...but I am trying to lay some ground work and make friends myself so that I can find friends for him to play with when the time is right. So basically if I hear of one I go. So far I have 2 groups.
The first group meets every Wednesday from noon-2pm. I love this group because it is perfect for me right now. "Technically" it is a breastfeeding support group where we are suppose to support everyone in their breastfeeding struggles and be able to ask questions or share what has worked for us. What really happens is that we sit in a circle, put our babies on blankets in front of us, shake rattles at them, and chat. Perfect...just what I need. I love it. There is one lady in the group who I kind of 'clicked' with.
It is hard making friends as adults!
So far I have not done anything with anyone outside of the noon-2 on Wednesdays.
The second group is a little more 'fly by the seat of our pants' group. We had a mom's only breakfast together on Saturday and basically after that...one of us it suppose to make suggestions of activities and it is more loose. However, all their children are way older...in school already...there were 3 women who had 11 month olds...but they also had older children. So, we will see what comes of that.
Now, I want to go back to where I said 'making friends as adults is hard'. Why?????

Randoms
Well it's time for randoms again....I am queen of the random after all.
From the previous post....I have decided it is too soon for my baby to go to the "fun splash" with the other babies....the poop in the pool and then into his mouth is just too much to handle for me. However, when my mom comes into town in Feb (24th) I may take him to the hotel pool if it is pretty empty.
I got a jogging stroller today...it is this exact one:
Tomorrow is my mother's group...I look forward to it all week. I am actually joining another mother's group and that first meeting is Saturday. The first meeting is mom's only...then babies can attend all other get togethers...my dad will watch my baby because my husband will be at work. I like to be able to talk to other moms.
I am now addicted to Downton Abbey....love it! So interesting and fun to look at the pretty clothes....why can't I have a ladies maid who will do my hair every morning :(
I tried Chiptole for the first time today....I will be going back to that!

Playroom and Question
So we made the decision to remodel the basement into a playroom. A basement remodel is much needed....it is really old and out dated and not touched in years. So I have been pinning ideas like crazy. I know he is only 3 months old, but I am planning for when he is older. We have a pool table down there that we are debating selling. The room will be nice, but it is hard to get rid of a pool table. We will see. Also hauling it out will be a pain!
Now a quick question. I have joined a mom's group every Wednesday. Two of the moms have invited me to a "Fun Splash" baby group at local pools. I figured my baby is too little for this. But, one of the mom's baby is 3 weeks YOUNGER and the other mom's baby is 2 weeks older than my baby. I called my doctor's office and they recommend waiting until he is 6 months to dip him in a pool. They said other babies poop in the pool and they don't want that getting into his mouth. I think 3 month's is too young. I would consider at 4 months but I also think that is too young. What do you think?
