It happened

Ok, today for the very first time...a stranger at a restaurant asked, "When is your baby due?"  So I just got recognized as being pregnant for the very first time.  It felt weird because I don't feel as if I have changed that much, but apparently I have.

In other preggo news.  I have to get another sono because they could not see what they wanted to see in my 20 week anatomy scan.  The images where too blurry.  So I have to go to a special sono at a different office because they apparently have better equipment.  But because this is something that not everyone has to do, I need a referral.  So I can not call and make the appointment.  They have to do it for me.  My dr. office sent the info because apparently they have to look at the original and agree that their services are needed. BUT, they are taking forever to get back with my dr office and set up an appointment.  Seriously, how long does it take to set up an appointment.  The one lesson that every non-pregnant person needs to know is PREGNANCY IS ONE BIG WAITING GAME and if you are as impatient as I am it is so hard.  Every time I have my monthly appointment I wait in the waiting room for at least an hour.  wait wait wait wait wait.  I live by my phone for a call from my dr with my new sono appointment.

I had such a relaxing day! I got a pedicure and facial today. The best part is today everyone who got a pedicure got a free bottle of polish AND we got to pick any color! The picture above is the color I picked. However, I think it would look better on finger nails so I picked out a different color for todays pedicure.






And the facial was also very relaxing.

Anniversary

Well this is a couple of days late, but Saturday was my 5 year wedding anniversary!  So happy!  Unfortuently my husband worked the majority of the day outside so I didn't get to be with him very much.  He got home at about 6pm or so and jumped in the shower so we could go out for dinner.  We had such a great dinner.  After dinner I did want to go to the movies, but I never revealed that to him because I knew he worked 10 hours outside in this blazing heat.  So we rented a movie instead and watched at home.  We got "Wanderlust" and "The Vow" both pretty good.

But, while he was at work, my cousin asked me to go shopping with her for her wedding.  So I said yes.  We shopped for hours!  We went lots of places!  Right in the middle of shopping hungar hit me like a mack truck and I told her we had to stop for lunch.  She was hungry too so that was good.  Near the end my feet started to hurt.  When I got home, I just had to put them up.  They really started to hurt.  This was the first time in my pregnancy that I have had sore feet.  My husband gave me a foot massage before we went out to dinner.  I needed it for the pain relief.  On Sunday, my feet still kind of hurts, not as much as Saturday, but definitly some aftermath.  I can't be on my feet that much in one day.  I don't know how I am going to handle teaching this Fall, but I am going to have to. 

Nursery

Should I do a final nursery reveal when I am 100% done or should I blog with pics every step of the way?

To keep my self accountable here is an update of my to-do list.  I finally got the tracking info for the rug and it is on time and arrives on Monday!!!!!

I got my prints in the mail today...so frame shopping for those next.  Still have to do the curtain shopping.  Bedding is tracked to arrive next Friday (that is a long time for me).

My husband finished the bookshelf late last night so I put the few books I have on it today.  (before this happened I rearranged the room 6 times...I still don't know if I have it placed right?) 

My second shower date is hopefully going to be finialized today or tomorrow.  I am waiting for one person to reply back to a message and set that up.  I am getting the addresses for the 2nd shower together now. (1st shower addresses done and sent to hostess)

In other news, our 5 year anniversary is tomorrow.  My husband is working all day so we will probably just go to dinner when he gets off.  The weekend getaway earlier this month was suppose to be for our anniversary anyways.

I am also helping my cousin do some wedding shopping tomorrow. 

Things are really coming together on the old baby front. As you already know I have my furniture. I ordered a rug (5x7) and it should arrive Friday or Monday. My bookshelf is almost done, just second coat of paint and trim around the bottom. My bedding it picked out and ordered and should arrive shortly. I also have three prints ordered that I will buy frames for when they arrive.

I sent the guest list for the first shower to the hostess and have the date set. My second shower's date will be picked by Friday and I will get her list to her ASAP.

I was told not to buy the small things until after the shower, but I couldn't resist, I bought three little sleepers yesterday. My mom also went on a baby clothes spree today...we skyped so I have seen them. She bought a 'going home' outfit too.


Next on the list is curtains (we got and installed blinds already), registering, and getting the second shower list together. I also have a few crafts to work on. So, I am feeling good!

It's A......................................

Boy!!!!!!!!!!!

I was right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


I have been shopping for boy bedding for like a week now.....I can't find anything I like.  I don't want any brown in it and all boy bedding has brown in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also got my addresses sent to the hostesses of my first baby shower.  Now I need to get addresses sent to the hostess of my second shower.

I also ordered a rug for the baby's room...it is suppose to be here in 5-7 days...I hope it is not late.

Thieves

I hate thieves.  I just don't understand why someone would take something someone else has worked so hard for.

Also...lots of things in my life happen in 2's.  Yesterday...my brother and my cousin got their wallets stolen. 

My cousin just graduated 8th grade. He is actually in Washington D.C. on a class trip.  The funny thing is:  1st off..he just graduated 8th last week therefore no driver's license or credit cards and my aunt doesn't trust her son to budget his money so she gave money to the teacher and the teacher is suppose to give him so much a day for the whole week (so he doesn't blow all his money in one day) and that days allotment he already spent.  So the pick pocket basically got nothing.  Just a little boys empty wallet that probably only had a young teen girl's class picture in it.  

My brother on the other hand, is 31 so his wallet was way more significant.  He was at a local bar on a weeknight because he was celebrating his girlfriend's sister's birthday.  However, it is his and his friend's hangout so basically the people there was his group plus girlfriend and gf sister.  He left the wallet on the bar next to girlfriend and went to the bathroom and when he came back it was gone.  However he pretty much knows who did it.  This one loser who is new to his group.  Later that night, the guy charger $103 at a gas station with my brothers credit card before he had a chance to call the bank to get it shut off.  (which is now if of course) plus his cash and his I.D.

What deadbeats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having such a great week.  The husband and I had a great time on our little weekend getaway.  We also got a gift certificate for a free overnight stay.  I might plan another night right before the baby comes. 

I also had a great girls night out dinner last night and lunch and antique shopping with another friend today.  Tomorrow I need to run errands and catch up around the house tomorrow because my brother and I are seeing "That's My Boy" on Friday afternoon. 

That is about the most exciting things happening to me this week.  I am also currently shopping for a rug and blinds for the baby's room.  I am just picking out the style of rug and after next Thursday I will pick out the color.  I am really tired of shopping for rugs though.  Nothing is jumping out at me.  I will probably get it from overstock because their shipping is $2.95. 

Well that is about it.  Talk more later.

Ok, finally I can update.  Blogger would not let me use the space bar for a few days. 

Ok, I had a doctors appointment today.  I got to hear the heartbeat.  It took a little bit to find it, so I cried as she was searching for it.  She said not to worry, that was normal, but of course I worried.  She finally found it and the heartbeat was 153.  However, the baby quickly moved so I couldn't hear it for long.  She was nice enough to find it a second time...I did hear it but the the baby moved again so for a very short time. 

I had to get blood drawn.  While I was getting blood drawn I held my husband's hand because I am scared of needles.  However, while the blood was coming out...he turned white and had to sit down.  Three nurses swarmed around him and brought him water and a wet rag to put on his forehead.  All the while I was finishing up with my blood draw.  Yikes, how is he going to be on delivery day.  This is a deer hunter who processes his own deer.  I guess when it is coming out of your wife...it is different.  He also didn't eat much today.

Other than that...everything is going great.  Our babymoon is Sunday night into Monday, so I can't wait for that.  Our dog sitter/house sitter (my cousin) just left after I gave her directions on my dog.

Oh, one last funny thing and I will leave you.....another girl at my doctors office came in wearing the exact same maternity shirt I was wearing.  I guess when there is only one good maternity store in your city that could happen.  I better get use to that.
