Day 19 - Why you blog.

Day 19 - Why you blog.

I don't know????

It may sound weird, but that is the truth.

I kind of wanted to start blogging for some socialization among fellow women...you know girl talk. I love my husband very much, but when you have been with someone for nine years and live with them, you sometimes run out of things to talk about. My job is working with little kids, so I wanted some adult interaction.

But, I have been blogging for over a year and only have 24 followers. I get one comment every six months.

I kind of feel like I am talking to myself.

I am getting discouraged and have considered stopping. I think about that everyday. I think about just reading others.

But,

I do like looking back and remembering things I have done. So I guess that is my answer. It is more of a diary now than what I wanted it to be.

I was hoping to network and chit chat through comments and email with women my age, fairly newlywed, interested in the same things I am interested in.

Sometimes you just want some adult talk.

I didn't mean for this to be a downer...just being honest. I thought I would have more followers and comments by now.

  1. I felt the same way about a year ago. I was blogging and didn't feel like anyone was reading. I had to find what I enjoyed sharing about the most. For me...that was mostly baking and some paper crafts...then it seemed like more people wanted to read. The days I post random stuff, only a few comment. But I also don't blog for the intimate relationships, although I have met some wonderful ladies that I have so much in common with. Mine is more just for the sharing craft factor. You have to find what works for you. I wouldn't give up on it just yet:-)

    Hugs!!!
