Ok...so I went into the dr on Monday October 15...my blood pressure was a little high...I then came back on that Wednesday for a pre-scheduled NST..again my pressure was high.  It was high enough they wanted to do a 24hr urine test and labs...I went back on Thursday (24hrs) to turn the urine in and I was then put on bed rest.  I was on bed rest from Thursday until Monday which was my next dr appointment.  (October 22nd) I went to my regular appointment and my pressure was even higher. I was then sent immediately to a specialist.  I drove straight to the specialist and he sent me straight to the hospital.  He told me I had to be monitored with a possibility of delivery if my pressure didn't go down.  I seriously thought I would just go to the hospital to be monitored and sent home so I only called my husband.

So I arrived at the hospital at 2pm on Monday the 22nd.  Shortly after that I found out I had to deliver...we were trying the natural route.  I was not dilated at all so I got medicine to get soft and started to dilate.  The plan for after that was to induced.  BUT, as time moved on, I got worse and worse.  I had seizure pads on my bed and lots of different meds in my IV.  At about 2 in the morning I got really bad high blood pressure that my doctor was called in.  We then made the decision for a c-section.  I had to have my epidural laying down because they won't let me even sit up for that.  I was then rushed to the or and my baby was born at 2:49am.  The entire time..he was fine...I was the issue.

I then went to recovery and then back to my LD room.  After awhile, I got my first post partum room.  There I found out that they were not sure when I would be able to go home.  I was first placed in a double room but without a room mate.  A couple of days later another new mother was going to be moved into that room so I then went to a single room.  I had too because of my condition...I was suppose to stay calm and I was monitored ALOT.  I ended up staying in the hospital until Sunday October 28th.

My baby was good the whole time.  The only thing with him is he lost 11% of his birth weight, then maintained, and now VERY slowly is gaining it back.  He doesn't like to eat too much and he loves to sleep.  In my next post I will talk about my first week home.
