Our Forever Home

So the other huge news in our family is that we bought a lot and are building a house.  Here is that story:

Ever since we were dating we always wanted to build our home.  However, we never thought it would be a possibility.  I am a sucker for realtor.com and am always looking at it.  I found a lot that was so cheap I really thought it was to good to be true.  There had to be something wrong with it.  But we went and looked at it and fell in love.  It is over one acre and is on a cul de sac.  It was heavily wooded and lots of timber in the back yard.  It really was perfect.  It was so cheap we bought it for cash! So that started everything off.  We had to sell our current house so we put that on the market in June of 2014. We had it on the market from June until December 2014 when I had my daughter.  We had to fire and 2 realtors during that time.  Because we moved within the same company we did not have to wait.  In December we decided to take it off the market in order to have my baby and find a new company and realtor.  We then relisted in early January 2015 and it sold Valentine's Day 2015.  We closed on it March 21 2015.  During that closing time we moved everything into a storage shed and lived with my single brother for a few months. This was very difficult because I really need my own space especially with 2 very young kids.  My husband was always gone because he was building a house that we were going to live in while we built our house.  When that house was complete we moved in it (we are currently here) and then we broke ground on our house.  The home we live in is across the street from our lot so when my husband is working on our house he is across the street!  Since we are building it ourselves it will be along process because my husband still has a full time job of course.  Right now we are in the framing stage.  I don't have up to date pics right now but I can post a few starting from the beginning.

We are actually now in the framing stage and we are about 95% done with that.  It looks like a house now and if you walk around in it you will see the layout...I will get some updated pictures soon.

If you want to know the design the best way to describe it is a farmhouse style.  It will have a wrap around porch.
