Hopefully April or May!!!!

These pictures are not in the order I want them in...but I am to tired right now to fix them....but here you go:

Cookie Exchange Party

This is a game we played. Everyone got a green piece of construction paper and you had to put the paper behind your back and tear a Christmas Tree shape....harder than it sounds!

These were the cookies I made-they are called "Santa Surprises" they are basically a peanut butter cookies, but there is a mini-snicker's inside (that is the surprise)

These are peanut butter chocolate chip cookies.

A chocolate cookie.

These were oreo cookies balls-you crush up oreo's and mix with cream cheese and then dip in white chocolate.

I am not sure what she calls these, but I have made something similar before and I called them 'reindeer noses'. Basically, when I made them, I bought the circle pretzels and then put a rolo inside the circle and then melted them in the oven and when I took them out I immediantly put a m&m on the warm rolo. She made basically the same thing, but I believe she used a hershey's kiss instead of a rolo.

Peanut butter buckeyes.

These are the party favors I made everyone. Notecards

This is the table before everyone arrived with their cookies.

Table serves.

Snacks I made-this is a dip for wheat thins. It is suppose to look like a Christmas Tree.

The food table. Spinach dip, meatballs, Christmas Tree dip. Wine and Lemonade.

I am thinking about making this an annual event.

Cookie Exchange

I am actually hosting a cookie exchange this evening. I am currently getting ready for it. These pictures are the favors I am handing out at the party (personalized note cards), a centerpiece I put together for the food table (an idea I got from a blog), and the last picture is a platter I painted that I will put my cookie's on later. The platter looks better in person, trust me. I am making "Santa Surprises" as my cookie. They are basically a peanut butter cookie that has a snickers mini-bar in the middle that you can't see until you bite into them. I will post more tomorrow after the party is over.

Mini Break

As all of you know....I have not made this a secret. My husband and I are trying to have a baby.

I am not sure if I will regret this...but I plan on not trying Jan, Feb, or March...because I don't want to have a child in October, November, or December. I don't want their birthday to get over shadowed by Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas. I really try to make all holiday's and birthday's special and really stand out. I enjoy the excitement leading up to events so much that I really like to make things special. So we have 10 more days to try and then use protection for 3 months. I hate to put it off...but I will be happy in the future. Hopefully I find something out in the next 10 days...........before I stop trying for 3 months.

A friend who I graduated high school with died in a single vehicle accident last night. That is all the details I know....but I do know he went out partying last night. I hate to jump to 'he was drunk' but it is very likely. He was a really good guy friend of mine in high school. RIP Matty!

18. I’ve come to realize that when I get on Facebook. . . I check the status updates and appreciate the ones that took some thought and show some wit. I hate status like 'tired today' or 'work today' or opened ended ones like 'lonely' 'sad'. If you are asking for help tell us what you want or don't leave that as your facebook message.
