Such a Good Day

Nothing really major happened today...but so far I am having a great day!!!!!

1. It is finally a decent weather day.....just a little chilly, but sunny.....I was able to put the dog in the backyard for a while for him to run and play.....he is so happy, it almost looks like he is smiling.....!

2. Got paid today...so paid a bunch of bills....this might not sound that great, but I owe bills anyways so it does feel good to pay them...

3. Best for last-I have really long hair and I don't do any real 'cut' style. It is all one length. Because I don't have a detailed style I choose to get my hair cut at a local beauty school because it is so much cheaper....and the student basically just needs to cut my hair straight across....and it is so long it is hard to tell if a mistake is made. Well, after I got my hair cut one of the teachers came up to me and asked if I would volunteer to be a 'model' / 'guinea pig' to the estitician (sp?) students who were working on waxing today. I got a free eyebrow wax and a free lip wax today. I also am going back on Friday to get a free facial. (tomorrow they are working on leg waxing and armpit waxing, but my hair is not long enough on my legs to get them waxed tomorrow.)

I had to sign a disclosure because these students were just learning. However, the 'student' that was working on me was a little bit of an older women (she said she had a 17 year old daughter though conversation) and she was Italian so she said she was been waxing her brothers (yes brothers), sisters, daughter, and aunt's eyebrows for many many years. (she said she had 11 brothers and sisters and almost 15 aunts between her mother and father)

She was actually very good.....she waxed my eyebrows better than beauticians who have been licensed for years!!!!!!!!
