Holy Tornados batman!!!!!

We had several tornadoes roll through some surrounding towns. Three of them........one almost destroyed a whole town....an itty bitty teeny weeny town......the Red Cross was called in and the whole town went to the high school for safety. That town is shut down.....no one may enter....state troopers are blocking all roads. Another one happened over the river and the third one happened in the next town over (which is actually the town I went to high school at). That one destroyed a Morton building completely and tore a few partial roofs off. It also took out some crops and trees but that is about it. My town was just rain and lightening. Almost all towns that surround me lost power, but we did not. It was a scary night last night.

However, we did get a lot accomplished yesterday. I have this really long flower bed that runs the entire length of my fence and we use to plant Cana's there. But, if you know anything about cana bulbs you know that you are suppose to dig them up every Fall and replant them every Spring. This got to be a lot of work and when you planted them in the Spring, it took a long time to grow into a plant so the flower bed looked like crap for most of the year. We got like two good months. So, we lost faith in it and the flower bed got ran over by weeds. ((((Mainly creeping charlie weeds from the neighbors yard.....nobody lives in that house and this one kid comes and mows it like twice a month at the most and that is all the maintenance that yard gets, so the weeds spread)))) So we tilled up the flower bed and put down some landscaping fabric to control the weeds and we planted------------------------

*Peonies-(the variety is called the "Sarah Bernhardt" it is light pink)
&
*Hydrangeas-(the varieties are "Endless Summer" ((could be pink or blue based on the type of soil)) and I can't remember the other ones name but it is dark pink)

MY FAVORITE FLOWERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I won't see much until next Spring so I will have to wait. I might see some action from the hydrangeas, but the peonies will just look like a green bush until next Spring. I can't wait.....I imagine taking lots of pictures in front of my hydrangeas and peonies!!!!!!!!!!!! It is amazing how much it helped the backyard after we laid the mulch.
