Day 4 - A DIY tutorial or something you'd like to make.

Well, I might just be lazy today, but I don't think I have enough readers to do a step by step, photo DIY project on here, so I am just going to list a few things I would like to make:

sew a dress for myself (I would actually love to make a wedding dress for someone, but I don't see this ever happening)

decorate a 3-4 layer cake really well

grow a wonderful vegetable garden

make a quilt

make perfect bedding for a crib

Day 3

Day 3-Your views on drugs and alcohol?

I am very against drugs...I don't do them, but I do know people who do. They are very addicting and make people do stupid stuff.

Alcohol on the other hand, I am a fan of a good cocktail. I really like trying new drinks and mixing drinks. I like to go out on a Friday night with friends to watch a band and have a few drinks. I really hate how queasy I feel when I get drunk and the next day sucks, so I don't ever drink too much. My husband and I made an agreement last year that we would take turns being the DD every time there is an event that involves alcohol. Most of you might roll your eyes and tell me I am horrible after I tell you that the DD is allowed 2 drinks. We are over 21 and my state has a .08 limit so 2 drinks is our DD limit.

So if it is my turn not to drive he is allowed 2 drinks and vice versa.

Sorry for those of you out there that think a true DD is zero drinks.

So far this system is working for us. When I am the DD I try to have my 2 drinks very early and quit so that I am safe to drive.

Also, I never do, but I think it is ok for someone to have a glass of wine in the evening. I don't because I don't want to spend the money on that much wine, I would be the only one drinking from the bottle (my husband doesn't like wine), and I just don't feel like it. But, if someone had a glass of wine in the evening, that would be ok. I have had nights where I couldn't sleep so I poured myself a glass of wine to help. This has happened maybe 4 times in my whole life because I sometimes use tylenol pm to sleep and even this is VERY rare.

When I host a party at my house I will sometimes have a signature drink for the evening. I also love a good margarita on a hot summer evening.

So basically if you can control it, I do like alcohol. If I were to guess a average (again depending on the month and events of the month) I probably have a drink maybe two to three times in a month. (some months I have zero, some more)

I really am happy that my husband can control his drinking. He only drinks out with friends. He never has a drink by himself at home. Several years ago we bought a twelve pack of beer because we had friends over to watch football. I believe 3 beers were drank and that twelve pack sat in our fridge for years. I believe we still have beers left from that day in the garage fridge.

So, if you are an adult, can handle the responsibility than I think that a drink is ok.

Day 2

Day 2-Where you would like to be in ten years?

Well this one is easy....I would like to be the mother of a 9 year old AND a 4 or 5ish year old! I would like to be in a new home, a 'forever home', that is just perfect! (maybe with some land). Also, be sitting next to my wonderful hubby!

That really is it.....I don't have much more to elaborate on because that is the full answer.

However, a trip to Hawaii wouldn't be bad....but the baby is more important.

Current Thoughts and Activities

*Went to a Scentsey party today-Is there anywhere else to buy a warmer that is cheaper than a scentsey brand warmer??? I know you can buy wax at Walmart so I assume you can get one there? Anyone every seen one because I hardly ever go to Walmart. I have one scentsey warmer but I want one or two more and I don't want to pay $30 for one.

*Tomorrow is the bridal show that I will be modeling in. (wedding dresses) this will be the 4th year of modeling in this show...I love to put on wedding dresses. I will be modeling 4 of them.

*I have to work 4 days next week. That is the most I have ever worked in a row this school year

*I got Kid Rock/Jamey Johnson tickets yesterday. They are coming to my city at the end of Feb. I do, however, have really crappy seats.

*If there is a concert I really want to go to...it is The Zac Brown Band...oh please come to a city near me!!! Please!

*I got three inches cut off of my hair this week...my hair was just getting so tangly.

Wild Night

Yesterday I went to a wedding of a cousin of mine. (a male cousin) Well, my aunt (his mom) is fairly wealthy and she also likes to party. The brides mother is opposite...a baptist women. The brides mother wanted a dry reception, but the thing is...she did not pay for the wedding...my aunt did. However the bride (who is pregnant with her second child so can't drink anyways) basically told her fiancee (my cousin) that she needs a dry reception for her mothers wishes. So my cousin told his mom that it was going to be a dry reception. She was quite upset since she was paying for everything....so she decided to plan a 2nd reception with alcohol....but the bride and groom did not attend the second reception...hehehe

So the wedding was really short and the first reception was only like an hour and a half.....but then we went to this bar and we had a blast!!! I don't think I have laughed that hard in a long time.

And, I don't feel hungover at all today and I should because I drank a lot!!!! I even got 3 drinks down my grandma....I bet she slept good last night!!! hahaha

I just never went to a wedding reception where the bride and groom did not attend....

my mom once went to a bridal shower that the bride did not attend though....

New Years Eve Wrap Up

We really had a low key NYE for the first time ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got snacks and watched TV and that was it.

We did do something fun for New Years Day. We went and watched the polar plunge. That was hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The boat club had 400 people sign up to plunge...crazy. The funny costumes were the best.

After that, we went to a bar with my dad and brothers and had a few drinks. Then my husband and I went and got something to eat. We rented a movie ("Barry Munday" horrible-don't rent it) and watch that and went to bed.

Now it is football Sunday. Bears vs Packers is the game of the season in my home because I like the BEARS and the hubby loves the PACKERS. I made some vegetable soup and brownies for the game.

(I actually made the mocha brownies from the Pioneer Women's cookbook and I have to say that she let me down on this one. I don't really like them. The recipe said to bake in an 8x8 square pan and I think a bigger pan ((thinner brownie)) might be better. I can't believe she let me down on that one because I love every other recipe I ever tried of hers...the frosting is the best part of it)
