I spent today running errand after errand. I am so happy to be done! One of the many things I had to do today was get an oil change. Even though I really didn't want to, I decided to go to Walmart to get my oil change (I normally go to one of those 10min places). The reason I went to Walmart is because I also have to get a birthday gift for a 2 year old whose party is Sunday and we just got the invitation yesterday. So two birds one stone thing. Well the oil change took FFFOOOOORRRREEEVVVEEERRRR (forever). They said it would take 45 mins when I first dropped it off...(which I thought was crazy because I was only one of two cars there) but I thought I could walk around for 45 mins. Well I came back after 45 mins and the hood of my car was still up. I asked how much longer and they said 10mins geez! They said that a lube audit popped up on my car. I asked what that was and they said randomly some cars are chosen for the audit. They have a bunch of new staff so basically if the audit pops up then the manager and new staff have to gather around and review things or whatever. (so I guess my car was a teaching tool) Of course the pregnant lady gets the audit for the new staff. Then it took longer than the additional 10 mins. Then when I finally got the keys handed to me the employee said, "Sorry it took so long...we had a tire delivery in the middle of it." So basically when a tire delivery happens the world stops and everyone has to help. (can't one person still continue with the oil change????....apparently not) So I get the tire delivery and the lube audit...great...I had all the time in the world today (sarcasm)
Because of this...I got less time at the gym than I wanted to, which sucked because I was feeling so good during my workout and I didn't want to stop.
I just needed to vent about the horribly long oil change...I am done now.

Success!
Welp there you have it....it is true!
I guess I am just the luckiest pregnant woman ever apparently.
I am 12 weeks and the due date is November 6th. I really hope he/she does not come early. There is just one baby in there. The heartrate is 173. The baby is about 3ins long and about the size of a plum. That is about the only fun info I got at todays appointment. The only bad thing that happened is after my sonogram and before my next appointment to see the nurse prac, I had to wait an hour in the waiting room. With a husband who needed to get to work...this was not fun. We also wanted to have lunch before he had to get back, so the clock was not our friend...I really dislike waiting in waiting rooms.
I feel so much more relaxed! My babies hands and arms where thrashing around so fast...it was so cute...lots of movement in the hands/arms.

This has been such a long week, but I really haven't done much. I actually am tired today! I never thought I would be happy to be tired. I only worked from 8:30-11:15 and I had a really easy morning so it is interesting that I am tired.
The school I worked at this morning had their scholastic book fair going on. It was really hard not to buy a (hundred) book(s). I almost did. But, I thought 'what if'. I didn't because if something happened I really didn't want great brand new children's books lying around. I also promised myself I wouldn't buy anything until I was done with the 1st trimester. Also the nursery is still an adults guest room...so I really have no where to put anything now anyways........but those books smelled so new and looked so pretty and glossy and beautiful....and cheap! Talk about self-control!
I kept books from my childhood. I might pull them out this weekend and look through them. They actually have served me well because in college I took children's lit for my degree and I used some of them for research projects. I also had another class where we had to learn how to develop a classroom library on excel so that we could inventory books....again...they came in handy.
The one thing I did do is (my husband goes to hardware stores several times a week) have my husband pick up paint samples. I believe I am going to paint the walls grey....if I have a girl I will pair it with a rose color in decor (I love grey and pink/rose) and if it is a boy...I will pair it with blue. (maybe green...would grey and green look good together????) Rose and blue work for sure IMO. That way I can transition the room without having to paint again....if I painted the walls pink...I would probably have to repaint later. (grey and purple would look good together too)
I really want to go to bed right now, but my husband just painted my toe nails and I need them to dry before I get between the sheets....so I am wasting time....does it sound like I am killing time? It probably does....ramble ramble ramble.
Well that is all I have for now...
(((((P.S. Katie, from the Bailey Bunch.....I have been replying to your comments lately and you have not answered back...so I went back into my sent messages and everyone has 'no-replyblogger' on it. So the reason you have not answered me is that you have not received them. I don't have your email and the 'reply' doesn't work. This is sad because I have written you paragraphs....your blog is also locked so I couldn't look you up...sorry to say this in a public post...but I have no other way of telling you...I have not been ignoring.)))) I wish had something to update on, but I don't. Still feeling the exact same way. Perfectly normal. The one thing I can say is prenatal vitamins are no joke. I usually shave my armpits everyday but if I ever missed a day it was no big deal....not anymore....I must shave everyday! Also, my nails are lovely. Prenatals are great on the nails :)
Until my drs. appointment I am taking it REALLY easy at the gym...I am still going everyday....but it is a pathetic workout....moderate steady pace on the treadmill and light weights. If I have a good drs. appointment and when I enter my 2nd trimester I will probably pick it up a little.
I purposely didn't say yes to working yesterday or today because I am trying to take it easy and avoid any miscarriage. I do work tomorrow and Thursday. I try to make sure I am off my feet when I can. Sorry I might be a Nervous Nelly but I have been trying to get pregnant for 3 years and I am not taking any chances if I can help it and I am trying to enjoy this as much as I can. So I really don't care about what anyone else thinks. That is why I have not told any of my friends that I purposely chose to only work 2 days this week. That is my (our) little secret.
One thing that is new is yesterday I sprouted one zit???? That is weird? I have enjoyed a clear face for almost 2 months now. One zit yesterday...I hope this is a good thing.
I just thought of one more thing. When I woke up this morning my joints hurt. All of them...shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers, hands, knees, ankles, toes, neck. I have never had this happen. It was so weird. I have never had joint pains and "What to Expect When You are Expecting" or any online resources have not said anything about this...so I don't think it is pregnancy related, but I am not sure. After standing up, walking around, and stretching...it went away???????

Weekend
Friday night we did our taxes...(I know I know...wait till the last minute almost...but my husband has been working everyday...He literally had to plan to take Friday night off to do them.) He did most of them while I cooked dinner. They are done and we are not late of course. I can't wait for the refund!
Saturday I went to the gym, had a great workout, and then stopped at the video store on the way home. I rented "The Sitter" and spent the afternoon watching that.
Saturday night, my husband got home about 7pm so we decided to go out for dinner. We went to Cracker Barrell (I love that place!) Then we shopped around the store. I found the cutest little dress for a girl for 4th of July...the reason I loved it is because on the front had a wagon decorated in 4th of july and in the wagon was a yellow lab...awww! Of course, I won't have a baby on 4th of July this year and I am not sure I will have a girl. But, fun to look at.
Today, I am taking it easy. My only plan is to go to the gym.
Pregnancy update. I really feel too good to be pregnant. I do not have tender breast, I am not breaking out, I do not have mood swings, I feel normal which scares me.
I think I am a little tired, but I am also afraid it is in my head. Like I went a symtom so much that I am making myself tired? I don't know. I also worked crazy hard last week with 2 kindergarten classes and a very trying 4th grade class.

To anyone who has been pregnant.
When did you start feeling it? I don't feel any different. I am not sick or tired at all. I feel no different. I would think my hormones would be changing right now, but I feel perfectly normal. When did you feel it?

Telling the Father
My husband is a deer hunter and he sometimes wears camo. So I bought a camo onesie and wrapped it. I just handed him the gift and told him to open it.

This is the face of someone who just found out he is going to be a father.

He just finished saying "Are you pregnant?"
