I love the 80's

My husband and I had so much fun last night. We went to this dinner theater. It was called "Awesome 80's Prom"....it was so much fun. As you are waiting in line to get in the door there were actors in line with you pretending they were waiting to get in the Prom. When you walked into the door the principal and senior class adviser welcomed you. They were saying things like "Aren't you in the Marching band?" "No smoking in the bathroom" etc. Then everyone got a name tag. Then the president of the PTA approached you and wanted you to sign the "Prom Purity Pledge" then the Waterhouse (the place it was held) was decorated in 1989 prom decorations. Actors walked around you all night with story lines. There was the jock, head cheerleader, nerd, rebel (he was freakin' hilarous....at dinner time he cut in line and filled his plate and walked around picking off of it...then he came to my table and stole someones fork. I took a pic of him and he flicked my camera off hahaha) drama guy, class president, head of the prom committee, etc. But you had to follow the story lines. (like the captain of the football team and head cheerleader broke up and then started hooking up with other people to make each other jealous, the nerd girl really wanted a kiss for the cap. of fb team and she kept making plans to do that. The play even continued in the bathroom. I went pee and the drama teacher/senior class adivsor pounded on my stall to 'stop smoking in the bathroom' and another time I was washing my hands and three actors came in and started talking about a love triangle and how they were going start rumors. My husband went to the bathroom and the 'rebel' and 'jock' had the nerd up against the wall and asked my husband what he thought they should do with him. Several of them were nominated for prom king and queen and we had to fill out ballots and 'vote'. The food was great: pulled pork, chicken, glazed carrots, corn, smashed pototoes, salad, rolls, and desserts. It was $35 per person and alcohol was extra. My stomach hurts this morning from laughing so hard!!!!

The name of the high school was "Wanaget High" class of 1989.
